THE BIGGER PICTURE
Palmer has struggled for minutes at Euro 2024 but he played a key role in their victory over the Swiss, setting the tone with an ice-cold penalty kick. That was followed by Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Ivan Toney and Trent Alexander-Arnold all finding the back of the net as England booked safe passage into a last-four encounter with the Netherlands.

WHAT PALMER SAID
Underneath Rice's Instagram post, Palmer wrote: "WHOS EMMAAAAAAAAA."
The message is a reference to Nicole Samuels, who repeatedly shouted the question during a challenge on the show. Her partner on the show, Ciaran Davies, had kissed new contestant Emma Milton, leaving Nicole to repeatedly scream Palmer's message as she sought to identify the woman.
